Magma was the place where i ate my bdae dinner!!! its somewhere in the chinatown area and serves authentic german cuisine! nice ambience n the wine there has a great selection and is wonderful for the palate as u can feel the different layers of distinctive aftertaste after every sip.. now i understand i shldnt just buy 20 per bottle wines animore haha

had a great weekend with cherylene.. the room was great.. the dinner was great too!!!! n i had fun looking for the small little notes of encouragement ya hid arnd the room.. the belt, pants, cheese platter, the massage, the nice bdae card with a kawaii cockroach.. everythg was wonderful.. realli thankful tat despite her tiring job and busy schedules.. she still took time off to do these things for me.. i think i have seen enuf of how couples become distant after one starts working n the other is still studyg.. so i gues on her part she is realli tryg hard to meet me and be 2gether with me.. meanwhile im oso juggling projects n travelling to n fro hostel n town to meet her.. thgs r looking up for us at the moment i guess.. =)

the vietnam coffeeplace at liang court realli brought back fond memories of my trip in vietnam n cambodia wif cherylene... thick n strong coffee and with loads of comfortable couches even on weekends! try it n liang court! Reali nice place to chillout man.. tho if ya have been to vietnam b4 ya will like die when ya see the price they sell the coffee at but well.. pay for the ambience, couches and for me fond memories.. not too bad a deal afterall =)

had a reaaaalllliii great weekend!!!! kindof tiring though... met cherylene in the afternoon on saturdae then went to her grandma's house.. aniwaes I am like finally "official" haha.. cuz she announced to her parents le.. met her grandparents n jovial aunties.. then went to her hse to visit her parents and brothers and had dinner there.. watched this jap movie.. something about love and thread.. cant rmb the name.. tragic la.. one of the guys inside kgot knocked down by the car..nt a bad story.. then miraculously caught the last bus 25 at 1155pm when the last bus shld be 1145.. god wants to help me save money too!!! =p 2dae din do much leh.. just went back to my farrer park house n nua with cherylene...

I realise after cherylene started working, simple paktor activities like a movie and nuaing 2gether is also a luxury that feels ultra sweeet n nice.. guess absence makes the heart grow fonder.. n i wonder how it will be like once i get started with school.. I think there are 2 damn tough tests for couples.. one is when the girl goes uni n the guy is bald n marching.. so they tell each other about central forum and tekong and realise they dunno wad each other are toking abt.. another is when one starts working first while the other is still in uni.. suddenly lots of eligible partners out there.. and a change of world view often caused by a new social circle..

woke up n decided to take a peek at the newspapers.. found it quite an enjoyable read.. I guess there is realli lots to take out from the newspapers.. though i just skip past the articles on how the H1N1 thg is progressing.. cuz seriously.. life has to go on.. n i realli dun care tta much how it is spreading.. cuz when action focused coping does not improve the situation, emotional focused coping.. ignoring abt the thg in my case, is the best bet to feeling good n coping well with the situation as my psyche texts have taught, haha

Met up with a few of my frens recently... n gonna meet more next week.. but importantly, cherylene is coming back tonight! hope she can meet me 2ml tho =( if she say must family time then sianzzzz.. on the other hand my internship is realli coming thru n hopefully will start soon.. cuz bumming arnd aint my cup of tea.. tho i admit if i were rich and go out n travelling everywhere, i might be feeling otherwise.. the person told me she was delayed in replying to me due to a death in her family.. so hope all is well now..

recently these few catching up sessions have been really quite "catching up" cuz alot seems to have happened.. One just broke up and is in low spirits.. sang ktv with her 2dae.. i remember when i broke up the last time, she cancelled her tuition assignment and came to sing K with me immediately.. sometimes I meet frens to listen to them about the bad stuff that have happened recently in their lives.. but tho its never realli nice to hear these thgs, it never fails to remind me that i am an inportant fren.. cuz important frens dun share onli the up but the down sides too.. but im glad that she is enterg graduate medicine school.. cuz not many dare to give up their current job to spend another four years to pursue a dream career.. while many of us walk down the rong way but never muster enuf courage to right it..

Another one told me she is getting married.. though not soon, they have like balloted a flat or bought a flat at punggol and have plans to get married by the end of next year.. abit worried cuz she always had problems at home and since long time ago she has told me that she wants to get out of the house and have her own family asap.. n tat she wants to get married by wad age and everythg.. somehow im worried that the decision for marriage might have been influenced by her urge to get out of the house.. then again, i think my worries might be uncalled for since marriage is such a big thg cldnt have been driven by such reasons purely.. so im quite happy that she has finally found the right guy =)

met victoria recently to play wii.. and she was like screaming cuz we played resident evil and we were like surrounded by zombies.. n blood was like spilling all over, haha.. interestingly, when i met victoria this time, her bf was in the area after her sales assignment and wanted to come n meet us.. so i told victoria why not? haha.. so got to noe victoria's bf alot better after our 2 hours of chattg at gloria jeans.. i think he is a nice guy n importantly, is there to support victoria when she was very down.. maybe she will be next on the list of my frens gettg married? haha

joseph on the other hand told me thru sms tat he is not taking honours animore.. cuz he tried hard this sem but di ged gd results.. in some sense, i switched to arts cuz i loved the fact that they teach us to appreciate that the world is grey and that there is never a totally correct answer.. yet it is this thing that makes me somehow defeated.. as im unable to argue the way the lecturers want somehow.. so i realli understand wad joseph is going thru.. was told by a fren tat perhaps i havent been working hard enuf.. actually i wish i had past year papers to do with correct answers to check against.. i wished i had standard answers tat i could kindof memorise and practice non stop.. but i hated sciences for standard answers but now im gettg killed for the lack of it.. grades vs interest.. its realli a hard choice rite? haha.. or maybe i realli nvr work hard enuf.. we shall see nxt sem.. afterall im not the kind hu give up easily..

toked to another fren on msn n some thgs realli came to my mind and made me abit angry perhaps.. one fren was telling me tat she is quite upset that her ex bf doesnt seem happy and is tryg to pretend to be happy.. realli.. this has happened to me before.. sometimes gals, or even guys expect to be ultra gd frens immediately with the person they just broke up with recently.. and see them smile and be like what they used to be.. like me.. im damn close as a fren to linjie tho we used to be together, but tats cuz we have both found new people in our lives and have hence moved our frenship to a different level.. yet if im not the one hu suggested the breakup, and have to see my exgf get attached to someone new, with myself being still single, i would think going on with my life trying my best to be happy marks a strong n the best possible recovery a guy in my situation can have.. so if ya are one of the people hu wanna suggest a breakup n expect thgs to go back to the "good friends" stage within a few months, think abit.. cuz some people do not even wanna see their "ex" ever in their lives again..

maybe im just thinking too much bumming around at home.. but for all my frens, wherever you are heading for, whatever problems you are facing, whatever decisions you have made, may everythg be smooth going and turn out well.. n hope i can always stay in touch with all u guys n never let these frenships which take years to build just vanish into thin air.. take care =)

interesting shop at the night market for those hu like models of ships or planes or any kind of models.. there is oso one shop at this night market tat is next to ben taim market that has a wholesaler.. bes prices there if ya want handicrafts and paintings =)

one of the fun rides besides the tut tut ride on the edge.. cherylene sit on my lap and we let cars n bikes zoom past us as the uncle pedalled us back to hotel with this ONE seater rickshaw.. in fact we oso tried a motorbike ride where 3 of us, including the driver weaved past n dodged cars on the HONKING streets, somehow i love dangerous rides haha.. but cherylene made my legs numb, haha

praying to the gods is a must of cuz.. unless ya r of some other religion of cuz.. n the guide said that actualli the buddhism in cambodia and vietnam is very different.. apparently cambodia buddhism believes in beasts like snakes while the viets believe in lions and tigers.. besides that i heard the monks in cambodian can even eat meat! religion i guess realli evolves with human needs and history..

took a nice boat ride with a top level to suntan while we went back towards ho chi minh to catch our overnight ride to nha trang..

nice lunch on the boat ride too! then again, we paid gd money for this trip.. if ya take a tour from other agencies it might be cheaper than the one we took up at "delta tours" agency at pham ngu lao.. so if ya have the energy, do walk arnd n see the prices.. service might be not so gd for the cheaper tours tho.. like the service we had for island hopping in nah trang..

sleeper bus was another interesting ride! I packed supper on board of cuz.. tho the chicken rice I had before borading was.. woohooo!!! roasted chicken with glutinous rice which has sweet and a bit of spicy sauce poured over it.. forgot to upload pic but.. nvm la haha

sleepppttt all the way ah.. damn comfy ride.. sleeper bus was gd cuz it saved us a night of hotel stay n when we reached nah trang it was like 6+ in the morning and we were all ready to hit the beaches after a short rest!

a must go romantic getaway in nha trang.. this hot spring center is beautifula n quite affordable too..

We were just exploring the streets to see what there is to eat at nha trang before we bumped into this place! we locals were all having some beef pot with beer.. so we took a shot too!

loads of free flow vege.. 5 bucks.. n there was so much beef even with cherylene's help we felt like puking at the end of it.. the aunty was also very helpful tho she cldnt understand english.. coming over to help us cook or add soup wheneva we looked confused n needed help

nha trang has an area famous for their nightlife.. discoteque is their version of clubbing.. if ya like clubbing n pubbing... there are backpacker's guesthouses there too.. just get accomodatn there and ya can "HAVOC" every night at ya doorstep =)

nice shops at the nightlife area.. u can find a branch of the famour "hoi an" tailors there too to make a suit for yaself!

the beaches of nha trang.. lie there and soak in the sun with drinks.. cherylene and I did redang n tioman so.. we just strolled the beaches and went to the market in nha trang..

in the evening u can just sit by the beaches and catch the locals all playing their hearts out in beach soccer by the beach.. n cherylene and I like the fact that the beach is filled with locals and not overly commercialised.. at night the locals will picnic at the beach with food n have BBQs there too!

island hopping was fun! howeva snorkling there is nt as gd as redang as there realli werent many fishes arnd.. lunch on board together was fun n cosy tho

SEA URCHIN porridge! for other seafood they realli can be found on mainland roadside stalls.. so dun get ripped off on the boat ride.. the boat ride sells seafood cheaper than restaurant but the roadside stalls are like way below that u can get on the tour, as u will see later

HIGHLIGHT!!! FLOATING BAR! basicaly everyone jumps into the sea, hang on to floats.. we will then be given wine from the guy tats floatg with us too.. coupled with loud music.. clubbing on the sea.. shiok!!!

with that i conclude my summary for this trip.. in addition to all the fun rides, food and places, i oso leant alot more abt cherylene.. counting our finances every night and forcing me to walk arnd in the room in slippers cuz she think there might be "invisible bacteria" sometimes, it was realli an experience of how it wld be to live together with her.. im oso too laidback sometimes and i think her being so careful n streetwise (I always lose my way even in singapore) realli helps me alot.. but traveling wif her brings me to the most dirty, exciting, or even uncomfy places that other gals might not even wanna attempt.. so im realli thankful for tat.. thanks for the wonderful trip dear.. lets go for our nxt honeymn soon!!! =)

i oso feel very grateful for my life in singapore after the trip.. kids there have to sometimes beg for money and live in slums.. others dun even have a chance to study.. places like phnom penh is still recoverg from the ravages of civil war and smell like a rubbish dump with rubbish everywhere on the road.. sometimes i realli feel no matter wad, we must appreciate our life here..

exam results are out.. and all the good grades i got for mid terms.. they just amount to Bs, B-s and C+.. filled up a result review form just now.. bt i dun evn think tat will help.. or perhaps i just want an answer.. as to wad exactly am i not doing right these days.. study hard.. i did.. but perhaps im just not smart enuf? its been a busy and hectic month for me.. trip to taiwan, performance at st james, preparing for xinyao concert at munchies monkey ytd and meeting school deadlines.. loads of thgs to do.. its getting close to exams.. have been doing well for my midterms in general.. but got below average for one 25% paper.. looks like realli must still bia all the way lo!!!!

recently have been attending a sciology class.. the lecturer says that we are consumed by capitalism.. there is actually a group of aborogines in Australia which just travel around the land and seek to connect with nature.. they harvest whatever they can find along the way and only use teir meetings with other people or seasons as an indicator of time that have passed.. yet here we are.. struggling with doing more work in lesser time.. and even feeling guilty when we even wanna just sleep or play abit more.. leisure time and rest is once mandatory, yet like my lecturer says, to many of us, all tat perhaps matter now is money or results..

So.. i guess its a gd thing that i have been performing and going for competitions and what not.. dun think i have much more time or chances to do these things.. whats more, i might not even et to stay in temasek hall next year as i dun have enough hall points.. if only i was like indispensable in some sport or somethg.. but my cultual director melissa say she will help me la.. so.. hope i can continue to perform.. n i guess i might join voices nxt year..

cherylene wanted to go sunset way to destress by eating the steamboat with grill.. then we walked past this thai restaurant.. 15.80+ for ala carte buffet!!! 42 dishes to choose from and the price is the same on weekends or dinner too!!! SHIOK!!! then everythg is served accordingly to how many people u have.. like the prawns there were onli about 4 to 6.. so... we ate like near 20 plates maybe? hahaa.. almost died man.. but ultra therapeutic..

wad made this week real good was the basketball sessions.. highly intense and lots of passing.. and importantly i dun have to be the passer so i can help out more with screens and even people who are from the hall team trust me enough to screen for me, use my screens, pick and roll with me and create chances for me to shoot 3 pointers.. besides that this semester of hard work.. consistently keeping up with readings seemed to have paid off abit.. 44/50 for a psyche test and an A- for a soci essay.. Hope i will not do too badly for the other 2 tests.. tat day shaun, this guy from my hall ask: "u guys always bball, dun haveta study wan?" i dunno howta answer la.. maybe its a matter of faculties? time management? I can onli say im glad to have bball, studies and paktoring seemingly under balance.. hope tat stays =) flying to taiwan in a few days time.. YES LA!!!

Changi Village is really a nice getaway for a couple man.. spa, gym facilities, swimming pool on the rooftop, sipping coke and watching planes fly by near changi airport.. Really a fantastic place to chill!!!! Cherylene lovesss planes! so she was extremely pleased.. and at 178 (on vdae!), there was buffet breakfast for 2, broadband and cable TV in the room!

My life never had regrets.." somethg like tat.. when she finds it, she can claim the alphabet! and when all 7 is collected, rearrange and she will get "collage", a shop where she saw a dress that she likes.. then we go n buy together, heh

havent had much time to blog recently.. cuz i realise if i wanna catch u with m readings i haveta do readings everyday!!! n tats damn shag man.. aniwaes just wanted to en down some stuff which i learnt from my psychology lectures..

learnt that personality traits that are similar between couples tend to be quite stable and might even be stronger in strength over time.. while individual traits that differ from one's partner is unstable and tends to change.. to me, that is a very good way of saying we can never truly find the perfect one but we compromise to make a relationship work..

learnt that centration or egocentrism can really happen beyond the age of 7 theorised by Piaget in some sense.. in that the thoughts in our mind always tend to be more salient (obvious) and that makes us overestimate how easy it is for others to understand our views and logic.. "I dun understand? why dun u geddit? isnt it very straightforward?" the start of many quarrels.. its realli not that easy, spend some effort to explain in a neutral tone and facial expression.. it ight just work =)

lastly, our view of the world is often subjective and differs with our personality and values.. my lecturer mentioned somethg abt religion.. he feels that religion in itself is never or rarely wrong.. it is always the intepretor of the religion that might be wrong.. Hence, to not process the words from these intepretors might be risky.. for example i have a friend who missed the deadline for application for a job and concluded that it was not meant to be.. could we intepret the failure to meet a deadline as a test of one's willpower and determination? perhaps god's test of human character? and by giving up, we might have failed the test?? Hence, our intepretation in some sense is realli a reflection of our personality and character too.. if patients struck wif cancer decide that they are destined to die early and not seek treatment at all, is that really just fate or a lack of character?

i think psyche lectures are realli interesting, haha

While wad he scolded can be right, the reaction of the person who got shouted at was of cuz very bad.. and the friendship almost soured between them.. This is just another example of how we shld treat conflicts i guess.. Having differences is common, but how we resolve them is important, especially to a psychologist like me.. First things first we must ask ourselves wad is the aim of shouting at he person.. if it is to bring about change, then the tone and expression wise, wad is the best way to trigger a receptive response? And the moment we ged angry, 1st thg tat comes to mind shld alwaz be the awareness that we always underestimate the possibility that our seemingly flawless arguments are filled with flaws and errors.. hence, shouting plus content that is flawed can destroy relationships between frens, couples or even families..

after tat we went to this korean meat bbq restaurant that cherylene found on someone's blog before we went to JB.. SHIOK!!! and we dun even haveta grill ourselves! 3 kind of meat, kimchi soup and a free flow of 16 kinds of side dishes!!! and wine! only 20 sing dollars each man.. OMG!!!! after tta CY sent us to the customs there before we went home.. thanks CY!

NOSTALGIC!!! the drinks stall auntie which we frequented still recognises me n jy! char kway teow.. HH ate his prawn mee and chicken rice while xiong ate char kway teow n fishball noodles.. after tat we went bowling 2gether n both games i made it past 100marks! 110 and 124.. even never DIAN4 DI3 for the 2nd game thanks to some wonderful cursing or rather praising of HH keep saying strike then he will throw into langgao (drain) haha.. but with kenyee watching he bowled his career high of 159 with the power of love.. haaha

i remember those times when JY will smash the ball at the rim which then bounce back n hit the lower sec boys who will run off crying.. haha.. how HH always eat crispy noodle then add fried egg.. how me, xiong weijian and gary goh will use 50cents and play knights of valour til the cows come home cuz we noe all the secrets and cheats.. and i had no gf, no academic worries, no financial problem, cuz onli bball and eat everyday.. stress free man.. days that have alredi gone by! will miss them! but glad i still have my best frens frm dunman high =)

ATE n ATE n ATE n Shp and shop and shop then go "liu fu chun" amusement park is a very good summary of my taiwan trip with ray and thong.. lots of hiccups, getting lost and some regrets for not having been able to visit interesting places like farms, flowerfields and hot springs, it was a great holiday nonetheless la, spending time with thong n chouchou.. living with Ray's family and at thong's uncle's house.. i conquered all my fears at the amusement parks and even sat on screaming condor TWICE that was a rollercoaster like thing that is in a U shape.. 122km/hr to and fro, spins at the top then drops down 90 degress, hahaha... FUN!!!

read xiong's blog and had some running thoughts.. i guess no one enters a relationship hoping that it will fail.. but after these years i do have some form of mental preparation that the current relationship might terminate.. Yet I have never believed that merely one or two relationships are really sufficient in life to lead to marriage.. not that i feel we should enjoy a variety of company or stuff like tat.. but tat in failing one or even 2 relationships come invaluable experience that prevents the next one from failing.. n sometimes on hindsight, we really realise tat the breakup is beneficial for both parties perhaps.. However, i do agree with xiong tat couples will always have differences.. so the determinant of how long a relationship lasts is really the capacity of our tolerance and ability to compromise..

in any case.. i have learnt quite a great deal from my lecturer this sem.. thought surpression.. telling someone not to think of a white bear or an ex-flame provoked the person to think of him or her more.. so when friends come to you teling u they cant stop thinking of someone or somethg, the worst thing to do is to tell them to try to stop thinking.. scientifically proven.. studies have also found that the rejector undergoes higher negativity than the rejected.. n i would guess the person initiatg the breakup might feel worse too.. so dun hate them too much perhaps cuz they realli dun want to.. then again these findings are not deterministic but probabilistic, so.. uta u guys to believe..

rough times recently.. with cherylene breaking down mentally or physically almost every alternate day due to stress.. trying to encourage her that she will ged her "A"s and first class when i might lose my 2nd upper soon.. cooking noodles for her, runing errands.. n sometimes i dun understand why she does some things.. like taking the carton of apple juice out from the fridge then ask me to help her pour into the cup instead of doing it herself.. but i was glad that she was ever-forgiving for me playing basketball everyday.. n buying lots of food that i like from the supermarket.. bt i do randomly hope that she will cook for me.. or help me clean my room.. cuz sometimes like she says, i am really being the female.. n tats quite sian.. pros and cons, ups and downs, all part of a relationship.. but i always look at the up sides! ust hope exam will be over fast and cherylene will be stress free again!

importantly.. recent times has realli been bad for me.. and cherylene of cuz.. she is so stressed and burdened by her loads of schoolwork and she is damn scared her 1st class honours will not materialise.. everyday i hear her complain and see her sad expressions, i feel ultra down.. yet i know i cant afford to fall.. if not there will be no one to help her fight this war.. sometimes i attempt to call her or sms her.. or even find her at ridge view.. the moment she picks up the phone.. replies sms.. or talks when we meet, its always about how life sucks and how sad she is.. im kindof tired.. n abit afraid to call her or sms her sometimes.. but i guess i really haveta help her see this thru.. afterall couples shldnt onli stick to each other in good times rite? hope she cheers up tho.. sometimes im so affected by her i start to lose focus on my work too.. i just think that there are realli loads of pple out there worse off, so we shld stay happy, shldnt we??

had a ktv session with my xinyao pple.. kindof sad that so litle ple turned up.. some say they sick.. otheres say they have sore throat.. those h said they are sick.. i chooseta believe they are realli sick la... sigh...as for those with like sore throat rite... i just feel like.. haiya... just go ktv onli mah.. not say we are attendg a competition.. but of cuz la.. to each his or her own.. n i realised that chailing is qte gd at duets!!! though she prefers to sing guy's songs, hahaha.. n melissa, thanks for coming despite having quite a bad sore throat.. but i think mel dun care wan la, sore throat stil keep drinking sprite and eat nuggets.. to conclude, no experience beats tat of singg wif HH... hahah

aniwaes... met up with jas finally... now she is like working at an art gallery and selling paintings.. walao.. must sell more than 70000 bucks of painting in a mth b4 can ged any commission man.. luckily she has basic man.. aniwaes, i still cld nt drink beer so i had some nice wine to go with the music.. n she told me abt this gal that was chasing after her guy fren hu works at a boys home.. n guess wad, she cooks lunch that writes "i love xxxxx" to his office in a low cut v neck shirt.. then when he play bball, she gave his frens 50bucks to tell her where he will be playing.. then she asked his colleague for his workshifts and timetable so that she can go find him.. then when he went to play watersports she even went there in a super sexy bikini to "bump" into him "accidentally"... somemore ahe qte pretty.. but jas's fren was damn turned off.. too aggressive, duncha think guys?? hahaa

slacking now til 10 o'clock after missing out on 2dae's only lesson which is a 8-10 lecture that is damn boring.. but gd la.. i promised myself slack til 10 then ill make use of 2dae to do some catching up.. if not there will be too much to cover for midterms.. i love tuesday.. except for the fact tat it means wednesday is coming.. n i haveta work again..

had a gd weekend.. bballing wif jy, HH n X.. though im always too short and slow to make an impact.. but playg with them makes me feel taller when i play with other pple and tats qte nice too, haha.. in any case, JY's tyco form was up n going so i managed to win 2 games with him.. tho i dun understand why i cant win with HH.. maybe hes scared of JY and hence he pick but nvr roll inside?? haha.. dun be scared, u r faster than JY!!! =p tho i must admit stupid JY's hands realli damn long..

ran the human race on sundae.. n saw how cherylene nvr gave up despite her lack of fitness.. my hamstrings hurt but it was memorable.. and we had great german food at vivo and all sorts of german beers are available there.. the tiramisu had beer in it and tasted fabulous.. after tat we sang ktv at clementi til 2+...

and on a more serious note... cherylene has been feeling troubled abt her finances... grad trip, korea or taiwan wif me in december... she wants both... so we had some emo talk la... n i told her how i felt straight, no mincing of words n it din go dwn too well... but i felt i needed to la... cuz we have onli so much money and time, n im glad u werent angry at me... so dear, i just wanna say i'll work as hard as i can k... n u jiayou 2... i dun mind paying mre for our trip... or in the end if ya haveta choose due to limited finances, i wun blame u for choosing ya grad trip thats once in a lifetime tho i realli wish we can go somewhere further... in any case, i feel theres no rite or wrong... just tat we have to understand sometimes we cant have everythg our way... just noe tat wadeva u do, ill be behind u... so dun worry k?

HOME COOKED dinner by mum... always the best food in the world

home cooked food nvr fails to make me feel damn warm and comforted.. tho the dishes whooped up are realli the simplest but somehow they tatse the nicest... n the best part abt it is... ITS FREEE!!! hahaha... but i really thank my mum 4 taking the time la cuz she rarely cooks nowadays... but her skils are apparently still intact!!! hahaha

i the morning went cycling with dear after breakfast at beach hut... tho the food was nt as gd as it used to be... the atmosphere was gd and i saw Rhoda still working there... had a gd tok... n toking abt capitalism, my boss' restaurant is filled with filipinos man.. hope their pay is nt too low la.. o well... and when we stopped at the hawker center to eat hum, i tried to trick cher by telling her to count no. of shells and marry me if its even... she almost gt tricked.. ahaha (DUH, one hum gt 2 shells)... then she challenged me to count total no. of hums instead... guess wad?? it was even no.!!! waahahhaa... so im happily married!!! won my wife's hand thru hum-countg, smart rite?? hahaa..kidding la.. will realli work hard man.. wun start a family unless im realli ready to give them a comfy life...

finally have timeta sit down and blog... working everyday realli sux... but its just anothr week!!! as for my colleague lindy who works day and night at rediffusion without even OT pay has finally broken down with high fever... and her daughter oso kena man... might be a virus.. hope they recover soon... working now wifout lindy and yvonne SUX!!! 7 more days of work!

read this book at a cafe... about a grandma that brought her grandson to school, cooked him his favorite curry and woke him for schol... then one day lost her way while tryg to find her grandson's school when she had lived there for 20 yrs... forgot to add in the spices for curry and woke her gandson for schl at 530am on a sunday morning...eventually with family support she carried on with life hapily...

some of the thgs r happening to my grandma... she no longer cooks my fav dishes like she used to and while she walked me to school bk n fro in the past, now walking is a problem... hmm.. age is indeed a scary phenomeneum... tho my grandma will nvr read this, i just wanna thank her for all that she has done for me... and her 7 children hu she brought up single handedly thru 3 jobs when my grandpa left her very early... n i pray she will be happy... =)

cherish ya old folks when they are arnd... like she says... "if im not here, hu will bother to nag u?"... show some patience and love for them... and our children will for us =) luvya grandma.. jiayou ooo!!!

following that we met up with my mum to eat durians!!! 4 durians then 60+ bucks liao... thank you mummy!! hahaha... the D1 tastes quite nice but normal... the D24 is bitterly sinful and has lots of meat and big seeds... the "cat moountain ing has small seeds and has a buttery like texture n sweet tatse... heavenly...

while everythg seems fine... ive seen more than enuf, in the past and in the present to noe never to take my relatonship for granted... i hope there are many more anniversaries to come and i thank you dear, with all my heart for this unforgettable year of memories...

havent had much time to blog these days... n work is so tiring till i dun feel like switching on my com when i reach home... aniwaes... felt so gd to slack at home... eat home cooked dinner and watch TV... then make dear's 1 yr anniversary present.. hope she likes it man... hahha.. as for now, just post some pics i took recently and some videos...

first up is yvonne, my colleague aka cherylene's gd fren from the philipines trip... shes a realli nice gal n is at a height of 1.68...quite slim... BUT EATS LIKE A monster... hhhaaha...n when she has gd food to eat, she looks like she has gotten ownership of the entire world!!! this is a "watermelon ad" by her =)

had a feast again... ate lots of wholesome hawker food, then headed to island creamery for ice cream... the teh tarik ice cream was... damn nice and damn... teh tarik! hahaha... the nutella wan 2... next time i wanna try the chendol and horlicks flavour! heh.. after tat we sang at kbox for like 5hrs til arnd 2 b4 we headed to 24hr kopitiam to watch spain VS italy.. well done for breaking the 22nd June curse, Spain! =) cherylene is damn hapy 2dae cuz she hates italy to the core somehow.. we ate seoul garden the next day whch was, haha... as usual, **bbBurPzz** and the maggie goreng i cooked turned out nice miraculously... cherylene said im of gd househusband material.. hmm.. ok lo, hahaa

gotta work again 2ml... kindof sian... but lindy is in the midst of war and i felt damn ad for missing out at work 2dae... so... ganbatte, 2ml gonna click till my finger snap again hahaa

was eating dinner and watching the TV... All of a sudden, an advertisement caught my attention... a girl comes home and takes off her high heel shoes... she just dumped her shoes down before headng straight for the room without even glancing or taking a look at her father.. next day, she comes out of her room in her school uniform, ready for school.. she saw that her shoes were fixed up and looked at her father who was napping in the living room.. she walked over at adjusted his shirt which had rolled up, revealing his stomach... the word "family" appeared, following a black and wide image of the gal being on the father's shoulder..

a tinge of sadness hit me for a moment as i pondered about my father... its been a few years and i dun seemta miss him or think of him very often...my last recollection of having intense feelings for him was the day he was to be cremated... my hand was on the van with his coffin and i was staring at his picture.. suddenly the van moved too fast and my hand could not follow i time... i found myself grasping forward at nothing.. tears followed as an overwhelming sense of helplessness consumed me.. if only we had more time, perhaps we could make things right...

Dad would come home from work and i would rush to embrace him... he would hold me high up into the air and swirl me a few rounds perhaps, before putting me down... feeling giddy, from the vertiginous swirl of his strong arms or pure bliss, I will watch as dad kiss mum on the cheek... After dinner, a mischievious grin followed by shouts of "Playground! Shall we?" would see me and my dad runing out of the house as chants of "is your homework done?" from the kitchen languished... Out of the house, neighbours wave to us as i hear whispers of envy about what a great father and husband my dad is... hmm, its great that we are all blessed with imagination, don't you think?

31st August... me and my mum's birthday... a date my father never remembered.. or never really bothered about if he did remember... My only reminisence of him was how he switched the TV channel from cartoons to some drama when he dropped by my grandma's place where i lived at on wekdays due to the proximity of my school.. Going home on weekends felt more like a obligation as my dad would be out on saturdays with his friends till late before waking up at around 3 the next afternoon for lunch with us... My mum and I would then head back to my grandma's place... i remember asking my mum how my dad won her heart, and was surprised that the first diamond pendant and bouquet of flowers were all firsts that my mum had received.. money matters paved the way to the downfall of my parents' marriage, perhaps precipitated by a blend of social norms and my mum's superior income over my father...

I always had intense fears of being an inadequate boyfriend.. and husband or father in future... what I longed for in him formed a stark comparison with reality, one which i strive not to repeat... I fought for good grades and a scholarship hoping to secure my future finances... I remind myself to not only love cherylene but let her feel loved... and make up with effort and affection as to what a richer boyfriend might be able to do while i cannot... and i hope my child, mum and my wife would busk in bliss...

Those whom i love but have failed to let you feel so i beg for forgiveness... those who love me i promise to give my all... and may reality never besiege my dreams =)

just came back from a bball session with xiong.. miraculously won him 5-3.. til now still find it hard to believe man.. hehe.. and the sun was like blazing hot... damn shiok man... after tat we drin ultra ice-cold bandung.. shuang man... staying hme 2dae.. feels kindof shiok.. have been going out and working everyday... damn tired man... n im like working 7 days a week...

aniwae work at rediffusion has been fun in some sense cuz i have nice colleagues... Lindy is the full time, while i and yvonne, recommended to the job by cherylene is really qte a funny person too... and 2gether we are the data entry team!! Lindy is crazily working like 12 hrs a day to try and key in ALL the data b4 ethe end of the month... and yvonne eats and eats and eats but still stays damn thin...we hate this kindof pple rite, huihuang? OOppss, wahahaha

aniwaes, went to this place at central with cherylene... and the ramen ROX!!! tho the queue is kindof irritating and makes yu feel damn stressful while eating there... they have only 3 kind of ramen and have a few toppings for you to choose from... some frens tell me tat my blog is becoming a food blog... hmmm.. mayb... but tats wad i like abt cherylene... we love to eat!!! and even so she is not a dua bui chai!!! hahaha... yes la, best of both worlds =p

may haveta have dinner alone 2dae cuz dear is busy and the whole house is empty... but nvm la.. being alone once in awhile is not a bad idea too.. i go makan liao!!!! (n maybe snap some pics again!!!, heh)

Yay!!! Dear is finally back!!! N I must say the philipines trip made her slimmer, tanner and chioer!!! Dun say that… last time super chio, now uuulllttrraaa chio k??? cherylene shld be puking when she reads this, hahaha

Ate steamboat til we feel like dying!!! N yes la, I finally ged to eat steamboat with luncheon meat… n it has Foochow fishball man… n crabs certified fresh by cherylene the expert!!! N at 18bucks with free flow drinks!!! Tian tian huoguo, u can go n die le, seriously…dear gave me 2 super bright n nice tshirts!!! N passed her the bear bear with the precious moments card… ultra girly present… n she loved it a lot luckily, hahaha… she even named it jude… but she keep saying the bear look like me cuz it has a small tummy =( WADEVER!!!! Hahaha…after tat we just nua at the riverside…

Met with her ytd oso… DAAMNN shiok!!! We ate frog legs porridge at Chinatown n then we played pool at the lousiest pool place ever!!! (recommended by xiong, hahaha) after tat we bought macs and dabao to hotel 81 where we watched Romania ALLLMMOOSSSTT kicking italy out of euro!!! Rah, damn it, buffon, HAOLIAN!!! Save penalty… n I must admit, it rocks to have a gf tat watches soccer hahhaa… think she even more excited than me lo, hahhaa… next day we had a feast at pu tien again after staying over at my hostel… **bBurPpzz** I just love eating with cherylene!!! Hahahaa
