Met dear n had a wonderful weekend!!!! =) beautiful room at 1929!!!! =) thanks for doing up the room in petals dear! =) and planning everythg painstakingly amidst ya tough working schedule!!! =) 1929 is a hotel built during the great depression.. arnd the hotel not onli will we see furniture tat are just one-piece and not sold at other places.. pictures like these of coolies and officers of tat time in singapore can be easily seen.. my cheese and ham platter.. some of it was in the fridge cuz we were scared we cant finish!!! but i luuurrrvvveeddd the smoked cheese dear! =)fruit platter.. my favorite!!!! =)
n i LOOVVVEEEE this orange larva lamp!! Magma was the place where i ate my bdae dinner!!! its somewhere in the chinatown area and serves authentic german cuisine! nice ambience n the wine there has a great selection and is wonderful for the palate as u can feel the different layers of distinctive aftertaste after every sip.. now i understand i shldnt just buy 20 per bottle wines animore haha WIIINNEESSSS!!! =) bdae on the house by the restaurant.. DAMN chocolatey and sinful!!!! and the 2 of us had to dabao cuz we cldnt finish after our wonderful maincourses!!!! i think ya look ultra sweet in this picture dear =) **hHuggGzz* flamchuken (or somethg, ahha) is the thin crust pizza featured above... it is SOOOOOO damn nice and unique!!! crispy thin crust and has a sour crean instead of the boring tomato base.. topped with chives and smoked salmon! aniwaes the one below is the ULTIMAATTEE delicacy.. female wild boar steak!!! ok, i dunno why it must be female BUT!!! it is just so damn good! aniwaes there is a 30 bucks buffet there.. free flow wine n flamchuken after 10 on weekdays, xiong n hh n jy wad r we waiting for??!!!had a great weekend with cherylene.. the room was great.. the dinner was great too!!!! n i had fun looking for the small little notes of encouragement ya hid arnd the room.. the belt, pants, cheese platter, the massage, the nice bdae card with a kawaii cockroach.. everythg was wonderful.. realli thankful tat despite her tiring job and busy schedules.. she still took time off to do these things for me.. i think i have seen enuf of how couples become distant after one starts working n the other is still studyg.. so i gues on her part she is realli tryg hard to meet me and be 2gether with me.. meanwhile im oso juggling projects n travelling to n fro hostel n town to meet her.. thgs r looking up for us at the moment i guess.. =)
met jasmine who gave me a great treat at this sukiyaki and shabu shabu place at ion!!! had great fun catching up!
DEEELLLIICCIIOOUUSSSSSS! but as u will see later, actualli for the same price ya can eat a shabu shabu and sukiyaki buffet!!! ahhaa

me n angel!!!! =) ONYX!!!! thanks for the OG love! =)damn glad i met this OG, n super looovvveeee u guys man.. truth be told.. never felt realli a sense of belonging to TH becuz i guess i myself havent been tat involved into hal life the past few years.. cuz ultimately, i guess cherylene is my priority.. now cherylene is working so i have more time to spend on hall stuff.. n this year, my OG celebrated my bdae for me.. received many SMS-es n facebook msges oso.. the A1 guys, thongmeng, berton, amri, bobby and jasper even sang me a bdae song (n spared me from the gruesome tying up n camo cream treatment).. having loads of fun in TH!!! =) thanks for everythg guys! hope i can make it far in the ark cafe comp n th can come n support me.. at least i now ONYX will =)

hanging out at liang court! vietnamese coffee.. strong n thick! nice coffee dripping!!!! coffee museum???!!! cool coffee grinder! =)the vietnam coffeeplace at liang court realli brought back fond memories of my trip in vietnam n cambodia wif cherylene... thick n strong coffee and with loads of comfortable couches even on weekends! try it n liang court! Reali nice place to chillout man.. tho if ya have been to vietnam b4 ya will like die when ya see the price they sell the coffee at but well.. pay for the ambience, couches and for me fond memories.. not too bad a deal afterall =)
nice and affordable italian restaurant! cherylene stunned to be taken a photo of.. think she looks abit like rui-en here.. but, ok la, nt realli haha (cherylene will say tat im blind) ultra tender drumlets! ESCARGOT!!!! OMG!!! onli 6 bucks!!!! WTHHHHHHH!!!! damn nice!!!!! OMG this beef baked rice with cheese on top killed me.. almost fainted after tasting it.. n its just 4+ dollars!!!!!!just when i thought that singapore is running out of interestg places, cherylene has once again resourcefuly awed me with wad the new liang court looks like man.. i cant believe the prices at this italian restaurant.. not with such gd food n service n prices!!!!!!!! aniwaes i realli think im damn lucky to have a gf as resourceful as cherylene becuz i looovvveee new thgs n new places!!!! thanks dear!!!
chef cooking at the teppanyaki stall! mutton, oysters, sotong, fish, scallop.. close up on this yummy seafood teppanyaki set at the food court which is just 16 bucks! tenderloin steak!!! ok guys.. this wasnt tat gd.. cuz i forgot to tell him to make it just medium rare! so guys b careful!cheap teppanyaki n tastes ultra great!!!!! gave dear a treat after my scholarship is extended.. though 1500 a sem worth of allowance is realli peanuts.. its better than nothg realli.. n i think in life we shld take wdeva we have as a godsend, rather than take it for granted n believing tht we deserve everythg we have. cz there are alwaz worse off pple, tho there are better off pple tooo.. so just be happy lo!!! haha
aniwaes recently cherylene told me that her friends asked her "how do u noe tat ya bf loves you?" so i asked her how she answered of cuz.. when she said that she replied "im not sure how i noe but im very sure that he loves me.." when i heard her answer i guess i realli din noe wadta tell her.. all i can say is tat everythg i have done was worthwhile.. i guess some pple keep thgs to their hearts thinking that the other half wld noe n tat thgs like "i love u dear" or "i miss u dear" are onli thgs for pple hu had just gotten 2gether.. thanks for telling me wad ya told me dear, u made me very happy tat day n wad ya said meant so much to me =)

Me n dear on her first pay treat! =) fried fish wrapped wif omelete crab soup! stone pot rice! eating BBQ meat wrapped with lettuce! LOADS OF STUUFFF to choose from the ala carte buffet menu cherylene musterg a last min smile when kena tou-paiyay! Cherylene's financial problems have come to a close at last! though theres still a major dose of life disatisfaction boiling in her stomach everyday, haha.. but at least there is one item off the list! =p aniwaes we had a hearty buffet at a bugis korean buffet restaurant.. as usual, cant wait to eat wif gang of monsters xiong, JY n HH.. then again.. monster victoria will do too i guess?? haha.. great food though cherylene read bad revbiews abt it.. wadeva lo.. i think reviews are just mighty unreliable sometimes unless there are like 10 pple sayg tat it doesnt taste nice.. try it guys!=)
aniwaes had awesome fun at orientation cheerg lame cheers, doing mass dance and playing games.. importantly, I hadnt have had much time for cherylene for an entiere 1 week+ but she was realli understanding la.. sometimes I can detect that she is abit irritated wif me over the phone but I really think i cannt ask for a more understanding gf.. I cannt imagine how i can immerse myself in orientation.. an experience tat i know i wld never have a chance to go thru once i finish my uni.. if my gf had been pissed at me and attention seeking every day..
cherylene alwaz like to say tat she doesnt understand why i like her.. isnt the answer obvious? =)

random durian sampling at bugis... delicious? erm... this is supposed to be me.. haha my version of cherylene.. ULTRA HOT N SPICY beef pot!!!! novena square 2, HH sure will like it.. joe's cafe, recommendation by xiong xiong pretending to look at the menu when all he wants is beer quite a nice chillout place! =) HOEGARDEN which XIONG FORCED me to drink =p (still cant beat the freezing heineken JY me n X had in KL when HH was on duty) hahahad been kinda bored these few days but onli mustered enuf energy to blog todae cuz i was fighting high fever for the past few days.. miss chilling wif xiong, bballing, para-para-ing like a crazy man at kovan wif xiong.. n miss paktor-ing with cherylene most of all la.. hahaha..
going back hostel for orientation next week le.. kinda glad that finally there is somethg meaningful to do.. feel abit too old n unprepared too la.. ok la.. still abit groggy.. dun blog le.. bye guys! =p

had a reaaaalllliii great weekend!!!! kindof tiring though... met cherylene in the afternoon on saturdae then went to her grandma's house.. aniwaes I am like finally "official" haha.. cuz she announced to her parents le.. met her grandparents n jovial aunties.. then went to her hse to visit her parents and brothers and had dinner there.. watched this jap movie.. something about love and thread.. cant rmb the name.. tragic la.. one of the guys inside kgot knocked down by the car..nt a bad story.. then miraculously caught the last bus 25 at 1155pm when the last bus shld be 1145.. god wants to help me save money too!!! =p 2dae din do much leh.. just went back to my farrer park house n nua with cherylene...
I realise after cherylene started working, simple paktor activities like a movie and nuaing 2gether is also a luxury that feels ultra sweeet n nice.. guess absence makes the heart grow fonder.. n i wonder how it will be like once i get started with school.. I think there are 2 damn tough tests for couples.. one is when the girl goes uni n the guy is bald n marching.. so they tell each other about central forum and tekong and realise they dunno wad each other are toking abt.. another is when one starts working first while the other is still in uni.. suddenly lots of eligible partners out there.. and a change of world view often caused by a new social circle..
cant say wad will happen la.. which is why when my neighbour said he was sure he was going to marry the gal hu he got together with for a week onli (and have broken up now), I am realli skeptical.. but dear.. we will survive the test!!!!!! JIAYOU! =)

woke up n decided to take a peek at the newspapers.. found it quite an enjoyable read.. I guess there is realli lots to take out from the newspapers.. though i just skip past the articles on how the H1N1 thg is progressing.. cuz seriously.. life has to go on.. n i realli dun care tta much how it is spreading.. cuz when action focused coping does not improve the situation, emotional focused coping.. ignoring abt the thg in my case, is the best bet to feeling good n coping well with the situation as my psyche texts have taught, haha
aniwaes read about this contract for differences thg.. which is a high risk investment for stocks.. damn interesting.. then again.. im not sure if I will dabble with stocks even if I have the money.. guess my mum has had great influence to me in terms of educating the concept of "gambling is bad".. plus my dad kindof ignored me quite often when i went home cuz he was mahjonging with his frens.. so.. guess i wun be a stocks person la.. tho i wldnt mind tryg out the lower risk kindof stocks..

so actualli, the term DEL kindof originated from America.. people who were aggressive and used unscrupulous means to achieve their ends are often called "sharks" by the americans.. so when the moneylenders started to use violence and other unreasonable means to collect their debts, the term "loan shark" came about.. which then spread to hongkong.. where these people were call "sha1 yu2 loan" (shark in cantonese combined with "loan" in english).. which then evolved to (dai3 yi long1) somehow.. and finally, singapore created the short form of "ah long" which is onli used locally or in malaysia and not in places like china or hongkong.. i think its dammmmnnn interesting man.. wad abt u? haha
